Dynamics Functional Architect
Major Responsibilities:
Organizing the discovery and business requirement gathering processes, from the end-user’s accounting, supply-chain, and production teams.
Analyzing the requirements and leading the design efforts.
Preparing the blueprint of the project implementation.
Designing and presenting the solution design to the stakeholders.
Develop (and review) Functional Design Documents for system customizations in Finance & Manufacturing functionality.
Execute the Classroom Pilot program and the User Acceptance Testing.
Develop a Support process including bug reporting and issue-triaging.
Analyze various integration points within Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply-Chain modules, and design interfaces with various other tools in Project Accounting (Job Costing).
Create detailed business requirement gathering documents through workshops, create AS-IS and TO-BE business process documentations, determine fit-gap analysis, functional design & technical design documents, Configuration, custom code specifications, data migration, cut-over, roll-out to real-time production system, change management and post-implementation support.
Data Migration from legacy systems into Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
20% Domestic Travel.
Job Requirements:
Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in, Business, Computer Science or Information Technology, or related degree and 8 years of work experience in implementing Enterprise Software Systems.
Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with the following:
1.) Full cycle Dynamics project management activities including coordinating discovery sessions, requirement gathering, document approval, preparing project estimates and project plan with work breakdown structure, resource allocation, systems integration, and deployment methodology of Microsoft Lifecycle Services or SureStep;
2.) Preparing and presenting Solution Blueprint to the stakeholders;
3.) Configuring Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 Finance modules – General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets (FA), Management Reporter (MR), Inventory Valuation Reports, Budgeting and Budget Controls, Project Accounting (Job Costing), and Company Consolidations (and Intercompany Eliminations);
4.) Configuring Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 Supply Chain and Production modules – Procurement, Inventory Dimensions, Product Configuration, Production Process, Bill of Materials (BOMs), Resources and Routes, Material Resource Planning (MRP) and Resource Scheduling;
5.) Integrating with Warehouse systems, tax systems, payment systems, banks and e-commerce systems;
6.) Developing test data to perform functional & integration testing; and
7.) Conducting Conference Room Pilot sessions and Go-Live preparation.
